The book/movie that impressed me most in college is Around the World in Eighty Days by

Jules Verne. Jules Vern(e 1828-1905)was born in Nantes, France. He had an innate love for the sea

and for travel and adventure when he was a child. Later, he devoted himself to literature and wrote many scientific romances, which gained him the name——Father of Modern Science Fiction.

This is a science fiction which tells us an exciting story about an English gentleman, Mr. Phileas Fog, who makes a bet with his club-mates and manages to travel around the world in eighty days. It gives us a vivid description of the many difficulties and incidents which happened on his journey.

To start with, civil residences south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River are famous for their fresh and elegant styles and distinctive features. The ancient town of Xitang is a typical example of these dwellings. It became the place of shooting for the movie “Mission Impossible 3” acted by Tom Cruise and thus became world famous. What is more, Xitang is located in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, between Shanghai and Hangzhou. Though small in size, this ancient town boasts a long history.
