教师在教学中的八条principles:
1.Learners need a rich repertoire of formulaic expressions and rule based competence e.g.. need to know 'chuck' of language that allow them to communicate in a native-like way. These need to be gradually'unpacked'.
2.Instruction needs to ensure that learners focus on meaning
3.There needs to be a focus on form(conscious-raising grammar/explicit grammar teaching)
4.Implicit and explicit knowledge need to be develop
5.Successful instructed language learning requires extensive L2 'comprehensive' input and needs opportunities for output.
6.Learners need an opportunity to interact in the L2
7.Instruction needs to take account of individual differences
8.In assessment there has to be focus on free as well as controlled production(from Ellis and Shintani 2014)
而其中的第五条提到的comprehensible input正好符合心理学家维果斯基提出的最近发展区。我们需要关注孩子在现有水平和潜在水平,通过他们能够听得懂的语言,从individual differences出发调动他们学习的积极性,引导思考的同时,运用student-centered方法,让学生自己动手归纳出答,并有效运用。
例如我们教授孩子定语从句的时候,不要过多用语法术语去解释,而可以让孩子去观察句子之间的不同,慢慢提出问题,引导他们总结出规律。
通过总结的规律,让孩子从简单的题目开始训练,然后一步步提高题目难度。让孩子自己讲出做题思路,边听边总结出做题方式。
